Article : Shakira at the 42nd Annual Grammy Awards

Shakira won an award for Best Latin Singer for her CD 'MTV Unplugged.'  She also presented an award to Shelby Lynn.  In her acceptance speech, she thanked everyone from her producers to Antonio de la Rua to her country, Colombia.  Antonio de la Rua, her boyfriend, attended the awards and sat beside her.  She wore a revealing yellow, almost transparent, lace dress with high heels.  According to some critics, they said Shakira was in such a hurry she couldn't get to the dry cleaners and had to put her dress in the dryer.  When it came out, it was in ruins.

Perhaps Shakira attending the 42nd Annual Grammy Awards says a little about her potential.  She's really just come to the county and doesn't even have a single out.  Yet she has made MTV's Top 25 Stars Under 25 list and got invited to the 42nd Annual Grammy Awards.  Needless to say, its pretty safe to say she'll be at the next years Grammy awards show.
